If you want to meet some great people, are interested in learning a new skill, or have a passion to help your community, the Habitat Restore needs you! Our Restore’s success is made possible by volunteers like you. Together, we can do even more to build safe, affordable homes and support the environment.
Our Restore sells new and used household items, appliances, furnishings, building material, and home improvement items to the public. All materials are donated by individuals, businesses, or contractors and are available for sale to the public for at least 50% below retail prices. Our restore helps keep usable materials out of the landfill. Proceeds from the ReStore directly support Habitat for Humanity of Pitt County’s mission to build safe, affordable homes in our community in partnership with responsible, deserving families.
How to Volunteer at ReStore
Attend ReStore Orientation
Orientation is required before volunteering or doing community service in our Restore.
Orientation Schedule
Habitat holds a 35 minute orientation at our Restore location every week on Tuesday and Friday at 2:30pm.
No appointment is necessary, just show up for orientation on time with your photo id.
Things to Note
All volunteers in our restore MUST be 16 years old.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at orientation to sign required forms.
For court ordered or attorney recommended service, Habitat generally accepts alcohol or traffic related charges. Occasionally, unusual charges or exceptions can be made. Please inquire if you have questions. In general, crimes of violence or larceny are never accepted. Habitat will check for additional pending changes. Thank you for understanding.
